Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 21, 2026
Broese Events ("we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you visit broeseevents.com, buy a ticket, or submit a form, and how we use it.
Mobile information and text messaging
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes at any time.
We do not share, sell, rent, or provide your mobile phone number or your messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, under any circumstances.
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party. Mobile numbers are disclosed to one processor only — Twilio, our messaging provider — solely to deliver the messages you asked us to send, and to no one else for any purpose. We do not sell, rent, or licence mobile numbers, and we do not buy or import them from anyone.
See Text messages below for how to opt in, message frequency, rates, and how to stop.
What we collect
- When you buy a ticket — your name, email address, mobile number, the name on each ticket, and your confirmation that every guest meets the age requirement. We record the date and time you agreed to our terms.
- Payment information — card payments are processed by Stripe. Your full card number never reaches our servers and we never store it. We keep only Stripe's reference for the payment, the amount, and whether it succeeded.
- Membership — if you start a membership, we keep a record of its status and renewal date. Stripe holds the payment method.
- Information you give us — name, email, phone, company, event interest, and any message details submitted through our table, sponsorship, or careers forms.
- Email and SMS subscriptions — your email address, and your mobile number if you separately opt in to text messages.
- Entry records — when your ticket is scanned at the door, we record the time and which device scanned it.
- Usage data — standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages viewed), plus the analytics described below.
How we use it
- To sell, issue, and deliver your tickets, and to admit you at the door.
- To take payment and process refunds.
- To contact you about an event you bought a ticket for, including changes and cancellations.
- To bill and manage a membership, and to notify you before a free trial converts to a charge.
- To respond to table requests, sponsor inquiries, and other messages.
- To send event updates if you've subscribed, and text messages if you separately opted in.
- To operate, secure, and improve the site, and to understand how people move through it.
- To prevent fraud, chargebacks, and ticket resale abuse.
Text messages
Text messages are optional and separate from everything else on this site. The only way to opt in is by ticking the box beside your mobile number at checkout — it is unchecked by default and reads: "Text me event updates and door info at the number above. Message and data rates may apply; message frequency varies. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase." We never add a number from any other form, list, or past purchase, and we never buy or import numbers from anyone.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes at any time. We do not share, sell, rent, or provide your mobile phone number or your messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your number goes to exactly one place: Twilio, our messaging provider, purely to deliver the messages you asked for. It is not used for any other purpose and is not disclosed to anyone else.
Message frequency varies with how many events are running — typically a few messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Every message identifies Broese Events.
Reply STOP to any message to stop them immediately, or HELP for support. You can also email info@broeseevents.com and we will remove your number. Opting out never affects a ticket you already bought — your ticket and every essential detail about your order are always sent by email, so you lose nothing by declining or stopping texts.
Analytics
We measure how the site is used in two ways.
- Our own measurement. We record which steps of the buying process a browser reaches — viewing an event, choosing tickets, opening checkout, starting payment. This is tied to a random identifier stored in a cookie, not to your name or email.
- Google Analytics 4. We use Google Analytics to understand traffic and where visitors come from. It sets its own cookies and sends information about your visit — including your approximate location, device, and pages viewed — to Google, which processes it as described in Google's privacy policy. Google Analytics does not run on our checkout page.
You can turn off Google Analytics for this site at any time using the button below, and we honour the Global Privacy Control signal automatically.
Cookies
We use first-party cookies that the site needs to work: a random visitor identifier used for the measurement described above, a record of which promoter link brought you here, your checkout session, and your analytics choice. Google Analytics sets additional cookies of its own. We do not run advertising networks or retargeting pixels.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. The only disclosure we make is to the service providers that operate the site on our behalf, strictly so they can perform the job listed below and nothing else:
- Stripe — payments, refunds, and membership billing.
- Supabase — the database holding orders and tickets.
- Vercel — hosting.
- Resend — sending your ticket and order emails.
- Twilio — sending text messages, if you opted in.
- Google Analytics — site measurement, as described above.
- Venues — where a venue requires a door list to admit you, we provide attendee names for that one event. Never mobile numbers, and never for the venue's own marketing.
None of these service providers may use your information for their own purposes. Only Twilio ever receives a mobile number, and only to deliver a message you asked for — no provider receives mobile numbers or messaging consent data for marketing or promotional purposes. They act only on our instructions to perform the job listed.
We also disclose information when required by law.
Under California law, the use of Google Analytics may be treated as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. That applies to web analytics identifiers and cookie data only. It never includes mobile phone numbers or text-messaging consent, which are excluded from analytics entirely and are never used for advertising of any kind. You can opt out of analytics at any time using the button above.
Retention
We keep order and ticket records for as long as we need them for accounting, tax, and chargeback purposes — usually seven years. Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months. Form submissions and subscriptions are kept only as long as needed to serve you, and we delete them on request.
Your choices
Email info@broeseevents.com to access, correct, or delete your information, or to unsubscribe. Reply STOP to any text message to stop texts. You can cancel a membership at any time from the link in your confirmation email, and cancelling is no harder than signing up.
We cannot delete records we are required to keep for tax or fraud-prevention purposes, and deleting your information may mean we can no longer admit you to an event you have already bought a ticket for.
Your California privacy rights
If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
For the avoidance of doubt: we do not sell personal information, and the only activity that California law may class as "sharing" is web analytics, which you can switch off with the button in the Analytics section above. Mobile phone numbers and text-messaging consent are never sold or shared under any definition, and are not part of analytics.
To exercise any of them, email info@broeseevents.com with the subject "California privacy request." We may need to verify your identity, usually by confirming the email address on your order. To opt out of analytics sharing immediately, use the button in the Analytics section above.
Age
This site promotes 18+ and 21+ events and is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the site means you accept the current version.
